Erotic Fiction on Kindle for those not impressed with 50 Shades of Grey please...

I tried the sample for 50 SOG and didn't like it - it seemed really badly written and didn't draw me in at all - but do do fancy reading something of that 'genre' Blush.

So does anyone have any suggestions? Something well written with a bit of ooh la la thrown in? Blush

My grandma (Hmm) recommended one to me but I haven't read it myself yet, called Intimate Strangers by Laura Taylor.

There is a LOT of erotica on Kindle, and lots of it is dead cheap or even free so I am told of course
Search "mammoth book of" and "pack" or "pak"
If you like paranormal romance, Sherrilyn Kenyon's Dark Hunter stories are great, and have well written sex scenes in great plots.
Shelly Laurenston is good too, I love her stuff - start with the Magnus Pack Trilogy as they set the scene for all the rest.
There are literally hundreds of this type of thing, and with the free samples you can check them out without having to buy them too, which is good because while some are brilliant, some are utter dross.

Loved Show and Tell by Anthony Chase, would like to do this to my partner! Maybe I'll get him to read it! I like the Crossfire trilogy by Sylvia Day.

It is a bit 50 shades Blush but with romance and a more likeable set of characters.

Another vote for the crossfire series. Can I suggest you join goodreads? If you look up a book you have enjoyed you can see lists 'like this book' and find other similar authors. Thats how I find most of my books :)

Not exactly erotica but 'How to kill a Rock Star' by Tiffany De Bartolo is a brilliant brilliant book. Also S C Stephens Thoughtless series.

My recommendations are:

Olivia Cunning Sinners Series. Based around a rock band each book focuses on a member of the band. VERY explicit indeed.

Again Olivia Cunning, Sole Regret series. Same as above, based around a band. These are shorter stories though coming in around 130 pages on my nook.

Lily Graison Wicked Beat Series: Again following a band and its members (spotting a theme? lol) Again Very explicit but very very good.

Cherie Lynn Ross Siblings Series. Unleashed being the first.

Jennifer Probst billionaire series.

If you want to mix Vampires with your erotica try J.R Wards 'lover' series and Lara Adrians Midnight Breed.

Untaming Lily Wilde, by Olivia Fox. Downloaded it to Kindle for all of £1.66 this morning, and REALLY hooked.

Also, I love Charlotte Stein's books.

If you've got an e-reader it'd be worth downloading some samples and seeing what works for you :)

I also 2nd the recommendation for Untaming Lily Wilde. Extremely easy to read, gripping, sexy, and in places funny too.

Untaming Lily Wilde is boring and badly written, not worth downloading, it was free but complete waste of time.
Good job the author isn't on mumsnet, wouldn't want to hurt his/her feelings Wink

Ah, now I've gotta admit I was hooked from the start, so I reckon you'll know within a couple of pages whether or not it's your cup of tea.

Also, I occasionally indulge in Lora Leigh - NOT going to win any Man Booker prizes but totally compulsive naughty reading.

ps Cygneture - which of us is supposed to be the author here? And how come it wasn't free when I downloaded??

Zak Jane Keir's new one is out on Kindle. I don't know if it's your kind of thing but she writes well.

I am not sure I would agree with Cynature on that one as I had a look and am quite enjoying it, its not free though? different strokes and all.
I agree about Sylvia Day as the Crossfire books are great.
Also - going back a bit... Anais Nin is one of the originals, but really good.

Try the books by Tara Sue Me. The Submissive. The Dominant. The Training( out in October). I've read the first one and just reading the 2nd now.

If none of you have read the tiffany reisz novels, oh they are fantastic. The main male character is definately alex skarsgard (in my mind). A very sexy scandinavian. And the story line in the earlier ones is great. Not so fussed about the latest one.

For BDSM I very much recommend the "Club Shadowlands" books by Cherise Sinclair. I wasn't so bothered for the first (it was good but I didn't think it was great) but I was hooked by the second and they just got better and better.

There are also the Leah Brooks "Desire, Oklahoma" books (I thought the first 5 in the series were excellent - not so bothered for the rest).

I've become a bit of a sucker for Kristen Ashley books - they aren't as full on as fifty shades/ crossfire etc, but then I realised I'm not really into those.

If you want to be literary about it, try Fanny Hill for a bit of eighteenth century erotic fiction. If it sounds dreary, I can assure you it's anything but!

A very entertaining read and recommended.

There's actually loads and loads of good stuff out there. Try Elizabeth Coldwell, Kay Jaybee or KD Grace for starters. Every single one of them can write, and write well.

The story of O is a breath taking but disturbing story - i am not sure it was erotic though. I have always been into BDSM and 50 shades put me off - i can't say O did much to rekindle my interest because it was too intense and distrubing.
