Groan. This means I really have to conquer Wolf Hall.

I looooovvvvveeeeddd Wolf Hall and just wanted to go live in it...so well written. I bought this sequel yesterday and, hosting a family event on Saturday, I am saving it as my treat for the following day. Cant wait!

L LOVED Wolf Hall - never wanted it to end....am off to Amazon...

hackmum · 17/05/2012 13:08

Am nearly half way through and really enjoying it. It's an easier read than Wolf Hall.

snowywhite2 · 18/05/2012 17:58

without even reading a single line of wolf hall i know it's just awful

BawdyStrumpet · 18/05/2012 18:06

How would you know that? I think it one of those books that take a little while to bed into, then pure loveliness - like new slippers.....

montague · 18/05/2012 18:16

I loved Wolf Hall too - so much so that I'm off to see Hilary Mantel speak at the Royal Festival Hall this evening - v excited!!

KatieScarlett2833 · 19/05/2012 14:15

Just bought it from Waterstones but I have to go out this afternoon to a barbecue..... will be making my excuses early, I think.. Smile

I'm reading Wolf Hall and really enjoying it, however I do feel as if I'm reading a film/play script sometimes IYKWIM. HM style is quite unique, great book though.

Really enjoyed BUTB but found it all a bit familiar - I think HM has modified her style to make it 'easier' so it stands out less from the other Tudor fiction. Maybe I just thought that because the Anne Boleyn part of the story is so well known. I'm looking forward to the third part with the downfall of TC.
