'The Mistress' by Martine McCutcheon. I read it in high hopes that it would be absolutely terrible and I wasn't remotely disappointed. I honestly believe she did write it herself because it is simply so shite. The length of description for everything ("after applying her favourite red Chanel lipstick, Mandy put on her Burberry raincoat, grabbed her Radley umbrella, and left the house, closing the door behind her by pulling the knocker, and headed towards Waitrose to buy a Diet Coke and a Grazia..."). An absolute wimp of a 'hero'. The least likeable main character I have ever come across.

I couldn't recommend it more.

Yours?

I really laughed a lot reading Getting Over It by Anna Maxted.

Without a doubt, The Da Vinci Code.

There was a very very long parody thread running somewhere, forget where, which was pantwettingly funny, yet soooo close to the real thing it was almost frightening.
