I've recently enjoyed three Agatha Christie books; The Hound of Death,4:50 from Paddington and A Murder Is Announced. I'd like to read some more of her work, and I'd appreciate any recommendations.

TIA

It's years since I read an Agatha Christie, but 'Five Little Pigs' was one of my favourites!

The Book People often have really good deals on, I bought the entire Miss Marple series for about £8 - get the lot and you can pick and choose as you fancy?

and then there were none is good

The Moving Finger is excellent.

Her books are terribly variable, but this is one she liked herself.

Her autobiography is fascinating too.

I like
Sleeping Murder and Murder at the Vicarage. Actually I really enjoy most of her books I would avoid Passenger to Frankfurt, Nemesis, Postern of Fate and the Big Four if just starting her books as they are the weakest (I think). She was quite old when she wrote them and I think was running out of ideas and didn't seem to understand the people/times she was writing about.

Murder of Roger Ackroyd and Murder on the Oient Express are 2 of my favourites. I LOVE Agatha Christie!

Destination Unknown
They came to Baghdad (not a murder)
The murder of Roger Ackroyd
The mysterious affair at Styles
Curtain (poirot's last case)
The 13 problems
N or M
The ABC murders

And Then There Were None is excellent if you don't know the ending. Whatever you do DON'T turn to the back and read the last two words. I did this accidently. You have been warned!

My other favourites are Peril at End House and After the Funeral.

She is good, I love her!

Is and then there were none a renaming of ten little indians? The creepy island one?

Almost all Agatha Christies are excellent but I'm not a huge fan of the Tommy and Tuppences.

DontmindifIdo · 05/05/2012 21:58

oh yes, and then there were none (previously called ten little Indians, I think) is so spooky and well written.

I also quite like "Why didn't they ask Evans?" and "Murder is easy".

After The Funeral

Five Little Pigs - brilliant

The Murder of Roger Ackroyd
