I have recently been revisiting my beloved Sidney Sheldon's as frankly I am too tired to read anything new (as it will keep me up till the tantalising end). I love how they are pretty formulaic, but tend to have a strong female protagonist and a bit of a twist - although to be honest I have read so many I think I can pretty much guess the twist in any new one!

Anyone else have an author that they simply love but that they might not want to admit to reading at a dinner party? Grin

I started reading 'Mistress of the Game' which I believe is the sequel to 'Master of the Game' but ghostwritten by Tilly Bagshawe.

I cried laughing at the description of a smelly fanny in it...it was approaching an in-the-closet gay teenager at the time Grin

'When she peeled off her panties to reveal a neatly trimmed rust-red bush, a pungent whiff of rotting fish assaulted Robbie's nostrils. He felt the bile rise in his throat.'

Grin Enjoy!

(I have it on Kindle BTW, I did a search, I hadn't bookmarked a page!)

'pungent whiff' - high literature at it's best!

Making me chortle.

Hah, Sidney Sheldon. My SIL recommended me one that she really loved (about a female lawyer who ends up with a really crap life, forget the name of it) and I was a bit Hmm but it did grip me to some extent I have to admit!

I admit I love them Blush

They do all follow the same storyline really, but I like the way he has strong female protagonists but they are so moreish - they are my literary McDonalds Wink

I have read that one Ellen. Might revisit it actually.
