I have some audible.com credits that I need to use up. Recent "listens" that I've enjoyed have been One Day, We need to talk about Kevin and Freedom. Can anyone recommend any others? Thanks!

I mainly get crime books on audio.

Been working my way through Wallander (Henning Mankell) and some old school Agatha Christie.

Not really what you're after though I guess.

Currently I'm listening to Kind of Cruel which is very good and for once I can't work out the ending.

If you liked One Day have you read Me Before You by Jojo Moyes? Haven't listened to it on audio but the book was very, very good.

Sorry too many "very goods" in that post. Anybody would think that I'd never read a book Grin.

Please get Jane Eyre as read by Juliet Stevenson! Can you tell I'm a fan?
It is so so good, even if you have read the book already.

Three brilliant 'listens' are:

Alone on a Wide Wide Sea- Michael Morpurgo. Read beautifully and lovely music interludes between chapters.

The Help - Kathryn Stockett - the voices of the three readers playing the three female main characters are all terrific.

Midnight's Children - Salman Rushdie. 24 discs, 22 hours long. Read by Lyndam Gregory - he's fantastic and does all the characters' voices. Really funny.

Just marking my place Smile. Ive listened to the Help too and agree that it is an excellent audio book.

All good suggestions, thanks! Having recently finished (reading) The help, I can imagine it would be a great audio book too. Kind of Cruel and Me before You sound like my cup of tea as does Jane Eyre. Must get onto audible.com now!

Just finished Me Before You - wow, loved it! Thank you so much for the recommendation. I probably wouldn't have chosen it otherwise. Thanks
