Anyone else read this? It's wonderful and so moving. I want to rave about it, and wonder if anyone else found it as gripping as I did.

I am reading it at the moment. My DD has a facial disfigurement so was intrigued to read this and see how the author has captured August's experience. I have just got to the section voiced by Via, so can't talk in detail about plot or characters yet - will mark my place now. So far it's an easy, but compelling read and I'm interested to see where the plot goes. As I say, I'm reading it from a slight 'inside' perspective, so that adds another layer. I am so far thinking that I might it on to DD (she's 12 and an avid reader) and see what her 'facially disfigured' experience is like in comparison to August. Have you enjoyed it, campaspe? MPD

Yes, I loved it. It says so much about bullying and peer pressure. I found myself really rooting for August, and I loved hte way the book is written from different perspectives. Maybe she missed a trick in not including a chapter from Julian's perspective?
