Someone gave this to me for my birthday - form the cover I assumed it was dire chicklit so I didn't touch it. I had a bath on Sunday and decided I need to read something easy so picked it up....

It is so not chicklit - it is wonderful - I read it in 1 day and could not put it down.

Just wanted to share in case any of you were put off by the cover (why would they- why??!)

Agree with you, read first few pages, thought it was going to be very dull- but what a thought provoking and uplifting read....

snice · 13/03/2012 21:32

yes, I agree, the cover is appallingly dreadful

Tooblunt2012 · 13/03/2012 21:34

Who's the author? Can you give a synopsis without giving the plot away as I'm always looking for a good book to read.

snice · 13/03/2012 21:36

the author is the equally appallingly offputtingly named JoJo Moyes!

Inti · 13/03/2012 21:45

see..the synopsis will sound dire too! boy and girl in bad places - meet each other and - boom, things change.
But it is so not what you think...

It's all very intriguing - dodgy title, cover, authors name & synopsis - but might give it a try anywayGrin

I loved this book , agree about the awful title.

I sobbed at the end. Found it very moving as I have some patients who are tetraplegics and found myself hoping they wouldn't read it. I can also see it being a film.

I don't get the cover either. Actually warned a friend off this book as she only reads chicklit and thought she may be tempted.

Someone chose it for our book group and i was reluctant to read it as I thought it would be chicklit, couldn't have been more wrong.

Omg! I just broken heart crying reading this book. Think I actually fell in love with will myself. Love love loved this book! Grin
