I got one for £1.99 in Tescos and it works fine

Pesofanclub · 06/03/2012 19:46

I would love one that doesn't use these tiny batteries that cost a fortune to replace and are impossible to find... anyone?

Grockle · 06/03/2012 19:49

I got one from Waterstones - about £6 and works well. Probably takes those tiny batteries though

Do you know what type batteries that booklight takes? It looks good and may pick one up when i go into town next but will be getting batteries from amazon or ebay. Do the batteries last long?

I got a couple from M&S in their stocking filler section the Christmas before last and haven't had to replace batteries yet. Dh uses his a lot as I can't sleep with the lamp on and he reads longer than me.
We also have one from Waterstones which looks like it should be better in that it wasn't a stocking filler gimmick and is slightly bigger but it eats batteries. 4x AA and really don't last well at all. The light from the M&S ones are really good.

My book light is a Mighty Bright one - cost about £10. I really like it and haven't had to replace the batteries in it yet.

It has 3 settings, including flashing Smile

Flashing light would be good for murder mystery book adding to the drama Grin

I bought one from Oxfam-has the added benefit that if its rubbish i can feel virtuous as its for charity 9they had a stand of them ,not second hand)

I need one that can be used on kindle or book. The ones on Amazon are really pricey!
