His books have been more for teenagers and young adults, but I really enjoy them. I've read all his books apart from the last 2 recent ones, which I've got but haven't read yet (and one of them is his first adult novel)

I've read most of his, I think. They are pretty decent. What's his adult one called?

I read Road of the Dead. Well-written but lots of violence and very grim, I suppose I should have expected that from the title though....

That's the one where the girl was raped and killed, right? If so, I thought it was very good but it was much more graphic than his others.

yes. After a while it just felt like violent scene after violent scene after violent scene.
There was still a lot that was good about his writing though so if the others are less violent I would happily read more.

Road of the dead I would say is his most violent one of his I've read.
I'm not sure about his latest adult novel though as I haven't read it yet.
The first one I ever read by him was Martyn Pig.
