Hearing a lot about this as the film is out. Is the book any good?

Yes book is great, as is the play and the original film.

I'm a bit if a fan though :)

Book is very good. I'd read the book first before you see the film though. Film doesn't seem to be bearing much resemblance though I've only seen the trailer to be fair.

The play is really good. I've had to see it more often than is sensible for various reasons and it gets me every time. You get to be a bit worried about rocking chairs!

Book is goof. Saw film last night which was also good but not entirely faithful to the book.

I thought the book was a bit disappointing. A bit formulaic. But I was born and raised on the Pan books of horror stories!

Book is good. Lots of Susan Hill's books are good .

just saw the film tonight, with two 12 year olds, agony watching the predictable plot unfold.. formlaic for sure. nice to see Julius Caesar dusted off from retirement tho.
