Hi, I'm thinking of starting to write an erotic novel, I'm a happily married mother of two and as the children are in school all day and my husband works I'm thinking of a hobby to take up my time and I'm quite interested in writing.
Now I know about that female MP who writes novels of this type and I was wondering if anybody had any tips for perhaps getting started?

I think the MP writes more chicklit/bonkbusters rather than erotic fiction TBH. I quite liked her early books. What sort were you planning, OP, like Black Lace type things?

Well I had one idea that involved the slightly cliché setting of a city lady falling for a country boy, but in my story the farm would have only one animal and that would be zebu's. Other than that I haven't get very far.

Have you had a look at cliterati.co.uk? Lots of amateur erotic fiction for women on there, no pictures or anything. You could submit stuff there when you are ready. May be worth asking in the Creative Writing topic though.

I've been writing erotica for 2 years now, found myself in exactly the same 'kids at school, nothing to excite me through the day' situation. I suggest steering clear of animals for your first time though. I'm onto my fifth story and am only just branching in that direction, they are deceptively difficult to write into this format, however, having said that, zebus are particularly erotic.
