I thought it would be good to have a thread to recommend books that you've enjoyed that are available for free or less than say £2. I get the daily email but haven't really been that inspired by much on there.

I'll start:
I'm currently reading The Penal Colony by Richard Herley. It was free. It's quite dark but very gripping so far.

I also enjoyed The Baby Thief by L J Sellers which is £1.92. Easy reading thriller, and Stealing Faces by Michael Prescott which is £1.32.

I read "Nothing to Envy" about North Korea which was 99p when I bought it. If you go on Amazon Kindle discussions they have loads more free books than are on the eReaderiq daily e-mail.

I'm going to look up The Penal Colony now. I don't like any fantasy/horror/sci-fi books which is strange as I love Star Trek/Babylon 5.

Its so hard to recommend books under £2 though isn't it because the prices shift all the time. I read the Ice Princess by Camilla Lackberg last summer and I think it was 99p but now I've looked again its £3.49.

Can recommend The Moonstone by Wilkie Collns though and read The Twelve Days of Christmas and a Winter's Tale over Christmas, both of which were and still are 99p.
