I have just finished Glasshopper and enjoyed it, although I found the ending a bit weak.

I have also just read:

The Poisonwood Bible
Snowflower and the Secret Fan
The Secret Life of Bees
The Help
The Long Song
Mudbound
The Waterless Flood
The World According to Garp

The list goes on and on really.

Any suggestions for other books I might enjoy (that don't cost too much)?

Join eReaderiq who will send you daily messages of the free books on Amazon for that day. You could go on the website and go through all the free books first. Be careful, though; sometimes books are only free for a day or two.

A lot of classics are free, too.

Go on the Amazon website and look under free Kindle books.

I've only had my Kindle since Christmas. I did not believe I would enjoy reading on it so much.

I am surprised by how much I enjoy it. It is a lovely way to read.

Thank you for your advice. I will do that tonight and have a good browse.

Have you tried this website carrot? You can put in the titles of books you have enjoyed and it will recommend books for you.

My Kindle is full of freebies! Dickens, Trollope etc.

Have you read Dracula? I was always v superior about it because of films, general horror, etc but it is an
AMAZINGLY gripping read! Just downloaded it free.
