swapping kindle books, help please?

Hi, my mum and friend have just had kindles for xmas, i am really pleased as i have had one since last feb and have been dying to lend them the books ive been reading.
does anybody know how i can pass these books onto their kindles please?

I'll need to ask my friend her and her mum do this. She has them on a memory stick and shares that way. I don't have a kindle yet so no idea how it works.

Coincidentally I just read this in the user guide on my new Kindle . You can do it, the user guide directs you to the kindle.com/support webpage.

i know you can do it by sharing an account but dont really want to do this, think it would get confusing with all our bank details etc (id end up buying books using my friends bank account or something similar by mistake)
i just want to be able to send her a few of my books but without the 14 day reading limit

I think that you can do it in America, but not in the UK!

thats not fair...:( i love my kindle but it does make me wonder why i paid over £100 for something that costs me more to buy books than if i went to asda and im not even allowed to swap them as i like after ive bought them......not v.fair amazon!! (sorry rant over lol)

I'm sure I sent a book to my DH as an mail attachment. I downloaded it from the manage my kindle page, then attached the file to an email.

You know what else isnt fair? The fact that the kindle 4 doesnt have the audio reader option. I didnt realise this until after bought it!
