I got:
Good man Jesus and Scoundrel Christ - Pullman
1Q84 - Murakami
Dark Matter , a ghost story - Michelle Paver
Cloud Atlas - David Mitchell

I picked them up shopping in the sales as DH ignored my 'you do know I have an Amazon wishlist' when getting my pressies :D

What did you get and what are you going to read first?

A book called Exiled, new Stephen King, new Jeanette Winterson.
Have read the first and one chapter in to Mr King. I have read about 10 from the library too.

Got The Help in paper form, have read it already, is v good.

On Kindle have treated myself to Wolf Hall as I've got it from the library and am enjoying it but it's damn heavy.

acsec · 29/12/2011 20:35

I loved Kitchen Confidential by Bourdain - is Medium Raw another autobiographical one from him?

twinklingfairy · 29/12/2011 20:46

The new Robert Harris (the Fear Index) which looks promising and "Death Comes to Pemberley" - the PD James post Pride & Prejudice/murder mystery thing. I've started the latter - am a bit sniffy about it all in principle being a bit of an Austen snob and all, but it's actually really good.

And on a similar theme I have Anthony Horowitz's new Sherlock Holmes book. Again, I want to hate it but suspect I'll love it.
