just coming out of a big Maggie O'Farrell phase btw (think I've read everything except My Lover's Lover which had poor reviews on amazon)

The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lachs by Rebecca Skloot. It's a non-fiction book, about race, class, medical ethics and stem cell research. But an absolutely rivetting page turner.

I check out the Kindle Daily Deal every morning Xmas Grin, and often buy something on impulse if it sounds interesting. Recently, I bought Ancestor Stones by Aminatta Forna, Punishment by Anne Holt, and The Final Curtsey:The Autobiography of Margaret Rhodes.

I'm trying to make my Kindle a place where I try lots of different books that ordinarily I might not have bought or borrowed, IYSWIM?

Also, I scan down the list of free Kindle books, and have got a few of the classics from there.

How about Sing You Home by Jodi Picoult?

Duchess of Mafia; me too - I only got my kindle at Christmas and having looked through 12 days of kindle I have bought a lot of things that I would probably look at in shops but not want to waste £8 of my money on it! :D

I am already half wya through 2 books I wouldn't normally read and enjoying them tremendously - the history of the underground and why stations are named as they are and confessions of a gp (very funny!!)

I am also enjoying the fact that I don't have a big pile of books looking at me wondering when I'm going to read them!! Grin

Do get Nothing to Envy in the 12 days of kindle sale - an absolutely cracking read. Sad, moving, fascinating.
