Hello lovelies :)

Just wondered if you could help me out with ideas for a really good murder mystery for my Dad as a present. Usually I'm pretty good with ideas and just pop into smiths, but this year I'm really low on money so it's got to be an amazon jobby.

He really likes period mysterys, like Cadfael. I bought him Fingersmith one year. He's got a huuge collection including Holmes and Scarpetta (Cornwell). Does anyone know of any new murder mysterys that would suit?

Thanks!

Might he like An Instance of the Fingerpost? Top of the trees a few years ago and was very good, though more of a novel than a murder mystery.

If he likes Cadfael then try the Shardlake series by C J Sansom. Set in Henry VIII time they are fab!

I second the Shardlake suggestion; when the last one came out I actually called in sick.
