Suggestions? Religious, artefacts, mystery

I'm looking to buy a book for someone with a penchant for fictional/religious/artefact/mystery type books. It's a secret santa so I've no idea of what's been read already, neither can I enquire. I shall assume the popular "Labyrinth" has been read so looking for something along that ilk, possibly not as well known? I'd be grateful for any suggestions. It's not a genre I'm over familiar with so I don't have any authors to research.

Thanks :)

Our bookclub has just read "The Secrets of Pain". I thought it was Ok but several in the group are going to seek out others in the series.

Steve Berry writes a lot in that kind of line - maybe his latest - they aren't bad actually for that genre.
Also Chris Kuzneski.

Thanks. I've plumped for "The Armageddon Conspiracy" by Mike Hockney. Hopefully it ticks all the boxes.
