Anyone else read this? I've just finished it and found it really gripping. Didn't guess any of the plot twists either.

Yep, I loved it too, a really good thriller and I would love to go to Lewis now and see some of these places.

I really didn't like it. Gave up about a quarter of the way though...very unlike me.

Me too diabolo. Mrsrobert - you should persevere! I am currently mid way through Robert Harris's The Fear Index. Am enjoying muchly - it's very "Michael Crightonesque"

I loved it also. Can I recommend the Shetland Quartet by Anne Cleeves? The first book is called Raven Black. Similar feel to the Black House and, I think, a more engaging central character.
