I like short books and I cannot lie.

I don't get much time to read these days and when I do, I really like to devour a book, so for me, shorter is better.

Does any one have any recommendations for books which are short but satisfying?

I would also be interested in short stories collections too.

Thank you in advance.

Dark Matter by Michelle Paver is a cracker. The uncommon reader by Alan Bennett too.

What sort of stuff do you like? Must admit to loving the odd short story anthology myself.

The current Booker winner, The Sense of an Ending, is under 200 pages. I read it in a day during baby naps but there was plenty in it to think about.
