I would like to be Kinsey Millhone, private detective from Sue Grafton's books. She is such a sassy free spirit. She gets things done and nobody holds her back...An easy life, with only a few murders to sort out.....

Delia Grinstead from Ladder of Years. Escape!

FearfulYank · 19/10/2011 23:46

I'm with FearTricks, only I pick Morelli every time! :)

TuftyFinch · 19/10/2011 23:46

The Gruffalo.

Dawndonna · 31/10/2011 09:29

I really like Becky Sharpe!

TeWihara · 31/10/2011 09:32

Miss Honey from Matilda. I could do inspiring and interesting educational activities with DD whilst simultaneously potty training her.

captainBeaky · 01/11/2011 18:57

Definitely Elizabeth Bennett. I would be by now Elizabeth Darcy, living at Longhurst (?) with pink cheeks, country walks and Mr Darcy to go home to.
If not...Buttercup from The Princess Bride, or The Very Hungry Caterpillar, and I would now be a butterfly. Nice thread op x

I was going to pick Becky Sharpe Dawndonna so I will have to be Granny Weatherwax :)

Dawndonna · 01/11/2011 19:51

Sorry, Prettypurple, she is good though, isn't she. Far better feminist than Ms. Eyre!

Hassled · 01/11/2011 19:53

Possibly Daisy Buchanan from the Great Gatsby. Or - oh, I dunno. A tough one.

bushymcbush · 01/11/2011 20:08

Doesn't Daisy in the Great Gatsby kill someone with a car?

I'd like to be one of the children in The Magic Faraway Tree.

berryfreeze · 01/11/2011 20:47

Mary Poppins Smile

Hassled · 01/11/2011 21:15

She does indeed kill someone. And is in love with someone other than her husband. But before all this - back in the South, when she and Gatsby first met - I'd be Daisy before it all went tits up.

Vicki1981 · 05/11/2011 20:40

For a bit of fun, Rebecca Bloomwlood from the Shopoholic series :)

Vicki1981 · 05/11/2011 20:42

Aah the magic faraway tree. Gorgeous memories of beautiful blissful innocence.
