I read it years ago, can't say I was blown away by it, for all its suppose to be a seminal work of modernist literature. Its worth a read though.

I adore it.

But you haven't lived until you've sat in a seminar room for 3hrs with 10 other MA students debating the figurative vs literal meanings of the single line 'ate his kidneys with relish'. I will never, ever get those 3hrs back.

But he spun a great yarn did Joyce, considering he was a fetishistic little bugger.

It's very dense, very poetic. Excellent, but like the darkest chocolate you might not want to eat very much at any given sitting...
