lets start a new book thing swap, who wants to join?

I think it is more fun if you don't know what the book is. so when you 'review' it it is 'dinky's book' rather than 'The Hobbit'.

I've clearly also lost the ability to finish sentences properly and proofread!

Can you put me down as a reserve? I see you have 15 on your list but if any pull out and you're short, I'm waiting in the wings. Have previously been part of 3 book swap clubs that disolved before they finised and would love to actually compltet one!

I love the idea, but I think I'll stand down. I haven't even got my arse in gear to do my Tax Credit form yet, so posting books regularly might be a stretch for me...somebody can have my place who isn't so flakey.

What do we do if we've already read the book we receive?

Ok - so our swap officially starts when I am back from my holiday (first 2 weeks of August) - 15 August - during that week we all need to send the books on to the next person.

Swampster - you're going to have to either let someone have Coco's address or get Coco on here to register her interest for real life.

CAN YOU ALL CONFIRM YOU ARE STILL IN THE CLUN BEFORE 30 JULY AS I BUGGER OFF TO THE LAND THE INTERNET FORGOT THEN FOR MY HOLS.

So - by 15 August each of you on the swappee list (but not reserve list) should PM the next one on the list (afternoonsandcoffeespoons PM jklikesrowing) to get their address that the books should be sent to.

Week of 15 August - 20 August: Go out and post your book (write your MN user name in the front cover) to the next person on the list - remember no sci-fi (sulk)/horror (yawn)/chick lit apparently (though as am now fat controller I may well relax the rules ) - to the next person on the list. Everyone come on thread to confirm they got their book the following week. Once you've read it come on and say what you thought of it.

Book clun officially "meets" again on 26 September (last Monday of the month) - so any stragglers for reviews can review then - and then everyone sends on their book they've got onto the next member of the list that week. We then meet the last Monday of October etc. until our Book clun/cunt dies a death...

If I've got anything wrong blame Swampster - she put me in charge having started this whole clun...
