Broke my kindle today.

I trod on my kindle today in it's case and it developed lines across half the screen. Rang amazon and they said a new one will be with me tomorrow. How's that for service? Was beginning to hyperventilate at the thought of being without it.

Amazon are amazing! The battery on mine gave up and they did exactly the same. I am very impressed with them.

Did they charge you?

No and this is the second one I've had. I've got to send the other one back but not until I've received the replacement AND it's free DHL postage. I'm very impressed.

Thanks - your thread has prompted me to call Amazon as my (only 6 wks old) Kindle has been acting loopy - flipping through pages at random so I couldn't read on it.

New one is on the way :)

I absolutely agree with this, my screen broke twice and they replaced for free straightaway. I suspect there's problem with the screens hence the quick replacements.
