I usually read books by Adele Parks, Marian Keyes, Catherine Alliott, Cecilia Ahern etc on holiday but have exhausted them all now and need some inspiration for some new books before my holiday. Doesn't necessarily have to be "chick lit" but easy going is a must, nothing to harrowing or highbrow Grin TIA

I read this as a freebie on kindle a while back, very easy and entertaining

life from scratch

it's available as a hard copy too

What Alice Forgot by Lianne Moriarty (infact all 3 of her books are fab!!) I took this book to South France last year and adored it. Marion Keyes is my fave author but was sooo disoppointed in her last book & it has been ages since then, i eagerly await her new one.

Marian Keyes and Jodie Picoult are easy reads with reasonable plots.

Jump by Jilly Cooper,
Anything by jodi Picoult , especially "house rules "
Dorothy Koomson is very good too , but a bit thoughtful . I loved all her books.
Lots to choose from.

Just finished The One Before The One which was a nice light read. Also I don't think Lisa Jewell has been mentioned, specially The Truth About Melody Brown

If you've got a Kindle or PC, try "Diary of a Mummy Misfit" by Amanda Egan from Amazon, £2.30. It's frothy chick/mummy lit filled with laughs.

Anything by Kate Atkinson - Case Histories is currently on BBC
Beyond Black - Hilary Mantel - Dark humour
The Tent The Bucket and Me - Sarah Kennedy (I think) very funny
The Girl at Lion D'or - Sebastian Faulks
