Hugo and Josephine

Anyone read the trilogy? I tracked down the DVD the other day. It was beautifully made (1968) but not very true to the story.

I should have put this in Childrens' fiction but I have read them soo many times

Wow, I've never known anyone else who has read these books. They're beautiful - I have my ancient copy of H&J in a box upstairs. It's falling to pieces but I remember it so well. Will have to dig it out again!

They really do stand the test of time but are hold to get hard of. I keep my copies in the guest bedroom. The guests can read them in a weekend but must leave them behind.
