Hi,
I would love to find this for my best friend, its a first edition english version called Seahorses written by Francis Brett Young. I know nothing about him other than he was born in the late 1800`s and that he dedicated this book to my friends grandfather, anyone help?

Well, there is apparently a Francis Brett Young Society here They might be able to help you. Oh the power of Google...

Have you tried abebooks? I think that's what they are called. They are an amazon marketplace trader and tracked down a couple of my childhood books for me.

abebooks

I can't find a match (have tried title and author) but you can "Create a Want" (on the right hand side) - may be worth a try.

Hi all,
Thank you all for your help, but the one you found is not the copy she wants, thats an american one, she is looking for the english one published by Cassels, must be that one it was esp dedicated to her grandfather.

oh its a bit like the J R Hartley advert!!!!

Shucks, and I was so impressed at finding that society! I think you may need a specialist antiquarian bookseller. My father has used a few for getting first editions, I'm not sure who he uses, but they do seem to be quite effective.

Hi,
I have mailed several of them, awaiting a reply!
