Heard about a book but don't know what it is called. Please help!

It is meant to be about a child who gets hit by a parent's friend, resulting in the community being torn apart as to who to side with. I think it has been published recently and is a bestseller. Meant to be well-written.

Does anyone know the title of this book?

Read that a couple of weeks ago - The Slap, as has been said. It's good, set in Oz and you see the story from all perspectives of people at the party at the time of the incident. Not the best i've ever read but enjoyable :)
