anyone know what its called maybe by someone called dangerfield?

Can't think of any by a Dangerfield but how about A Woman of Cairo by Noel Barber
or the Cairo Trilogy by Naguib Mahfouz

Is it historical fiction or contemporary?
Any other clues? Smile
