Little Stranger by Sarah Waters isn't exactly your run of the mill ghost story but is brilliant. A quirky choice!

I enjoyed "The Winter Ghosts" by Kate Mosse

The Little Stranger was dull and predictable.

Something a little quirky, not strictly a ghost story is The House on the Strand, Daphne du Maurier.

Henry James' The turn of the screw is a classic, and the best imo

Ah, and Bram Stoker The judge house

I went for an Algernon Blackwood. It had some brill reviews.

I love ghost stories too so bought MR James and Winter Ghosts for myself. Ill wait for Dark Matter to come out in paperback
