If someone likes Sophie Hannah, who else might they like?

I am desperate to find a birthday present for my mum. She likes Sophie Hannah, and she liked Sister by Rosamund Lupton. I lent her Case Histories by Kate Atkinson but she wasn't so keen, she said it was too slow to bring all the strands together. So I guess she's more into the more accessible end of the genre?

Any suggestions gratefully received, I really want to get her a couple of books she'll like. Thanks in advance.

She would love Cuckoo by Julia Crouch- I've just finished it, and it was superb.

this might help - just type in Sophie Hannah and it comes up with similar authors. Smile

Thanks for the Cuckoo suggestion - I bought it for my Kindle and ended up staying up until 1.30 because I wanted to read it all in one go! Thank goodness it's the holidays and I didn't have to get up early...

Sarah Rayne, she writes psychological thrillers but they can be a little bit gory.
