I've not read it but browsed through it in the bookshop. It looks okay, not too sickly/sentimental, but it's not the sort of book I'd read from start to finish.

i read the v.long extracts in the Mail and I thought it was very readable. Too sad for me though.

I got this yesterday, not too far yet, but I think it's a touching read

Goodbye Dearest Holly is a tearjerker!

I am reading it and I don't know how I feel yet, I'm about half way through. There's a lot of stuff about Gloria which I wasn't banking on and I have skimmed most of that. Caron comes across as a bit annoying actually, I haven't really warmed to her yet although it is of course devastating that she died so young leaving such small children. I am reading it hoping to get some understanding about cancer treatments and how it affects you and I haven't really found that yet although it might come later. What I find most annoying is who nauseating Gloria is about Caron, "she was the most beautiful girl" "she was so fiesty and clever" and everything is so biased obviously from her Mum's perspective. How many of us don't think our own child is the best ever? Its only to be expected but I'm surprised how it is irritating me. I wish she'd just stuck to the facts about Caron and the treatment more.

Skinnycow - I saw that in the shop the other day. Not sure how I would find that one. It might be a bit hard to handle but am I right in thinking that part of the money when you buy the book goes towards a charity. I may be wrong. If I am right that might tempt me into buying it.
