Just wanted to tell everybody how wonderful Amazon's aftercare service is. Last week DD borrowed my kindle and returned it not working. It was showing only about a quarter of the screen and had lines going through it.
So after screaming at DD for being so irresponsible I went online to see if I could fix it some way. I tried to reboot it to no avail so I got in touch with customer services.
I didn't expect them to be very helpful as my kindle is 16 months old and I didn't buy an extended warrantee.
I explained to the man what the screen looked like and I had tried to reboot it. Okay he said we will send you a new one. That was last Thursday and this morning my brand new kindle arrived from America. All I have to do is return my old one to show it really is broken.
