What's your best sunny day book?

I noticed in the garden with DD yesterday that on the first properly hot days I always bring out 'Chocolat' by Joanne Harris and reread it.

Does anyone else have sunny books?

Hi LaWeasel, great thread! I've been wondering the same thing myself - I've been reading a Scandinavian crime novel by Henning Mankell and it suddenly seems all wrong in the sunshine. I think The Great Gatsby is always a good summer read, to me it conjures up the glamour of summer evening parties with their clinking glasses perfectly. But I'd love other sunny book suggestions.

I know I always seem to re-read Jude the Obscure in Autumn/Early winter...

Here's a hint, don't read All Quiet On the Western front on the beach on a nice sunny day. Total Downer.....(I was snivelling)
