drama and comedy in one hit?

can anyone reccommend a book that will make me laugh and cry .

Hmm, I quite like some of the (better) chicklit for this stuff like Marian Keyes and Jennifer Weiner.

any particular books? have read a few of marian keyes but years ago.

Hmm, can't remember many names. This Charming Man (Marian Keyes) I think was quite funny and also very sad. One of her other new ones was well (66 Star Street maybe?).

I like all of Jennifer Weiner's stuff like Little Earthquakes, In Her Shoes. Can't remember now if they really did make me laugh so much but I think so.

I'm terrible with stuff like that, I'm pretty sure there's loads but I can never remember them.

Try The Golden Age of Censorship by Paul Hoffman. One of my favourites!

everything is illuminated by jonathan safran foer - i reckon 'drama and comedy' encapsulates it perfectly! his latest - extremely loud and incredibly close is also very good. hope you find something you enjoy!

Small Island, Andrea Levy. Also The Corrections as above. On Beauty by Zadie Smith has funniest sex scene ever.
