Hiya
I didnt know where to post this. It might have been better somewhere else but I plumped for here! I am a big fan of Terry Pratchett and have a huge collection of 'stuff' relating to the Discworld.

A company called Clarecraft used to make a large range of figurines of characters from the books but unfortunately they closed in 2005. Since then I have noticed that there is a dearth of information for people who may be new to collecting these or any other Discworld items. To that end I have set up a little blog. It is very small at the moment but I am adding to it whenever I get the chance. Its mainly for people new to collecting or maybe if someone has bought you a figure knowing you like the books but you have no idea what it is or how much it was worth.

I just thought I'd let people know as it would be nice to think that someone, somewhere (apart from my fiance) has read it or might find it useful :)

I'm tryig to get through the items as logically as I can but if anyone has a particular question and doesnt want to wait for me to get round to it on the blog then I'm happy to answer any messages.

It can be found at discworldcollectorscorner.blogspot.com

(PS if you do read it, please be gentle, Ive never written anything before so havent developed the mythical 'thick skin' that posting on the internet seems to require :))

Oh you sound like a really nice person, if that's not a weird thing to say Grin

I love DW. I have all of the books but only, I think, 2 items. One is a Granny Weatherwax figure but it has no stamp on it so not sure if it's Clarecraft. Also have a tooth necklace, thousands of em made but I like it and can't find it keep it safe.

Thank you :), I am mostly lovely Grin

There are lots of different Granny figurines, is she standing, sitting, flying (or doing something else entirely??!!). If she doesnt have a stamp on, she may well still be Clarecraft but she might be a Paint Your Own figure, sold at the events (coincidentally my next blog entry that Im currently working on is about these :)).

I dont have anything with the teeth! I missed a trick, unfortunately the whole Hogfather thing passed me by as it was at a time when I wasnt collecting anymore. I intend on doing pages on other Pratchett collectables as well as Clarecraft but I tend to get distracted by wine and mumsnet more important things :)
