I'm reading this right now. I love, love, love it. I just wonder if anyone else is reading it and what they think? I thought it would be a nice light easy-on-the-brain read but it's actually really well-written and poetic in my opinion and I can't put it down!

I am not currently reading it but I did consider it and wasn't sure but I think you have swayed me.

I ordered it last week and am waiting for it to arrive in the post - it looks fab!

I've read it - finished it in a day and was completely engrossed. Laughed a bit (in the first part of the book) and wept a bucket in the latter parts.

I've finished it now. I am gutted that it's over. Loved it. It's definitely going in my top 100 books of all time.

I've just read it too, and enjoyed it, though perhaps not as much as BBL.

I'm well into now and I love it. It's so easy to read I'm having to ration myself as I want to savour it and not get through it too quickly!

Ooh, have been umming and aghing over this but you've helped me to decide [shuffles off to order it from Amazon...]

Loved this, made me cry on a plane. Was just thinking about Jenny penny today, a brilliant book.

I finished it a few days ago and genuinely loved it. It's one of those books that stays in your memory forever... it does have some flaws and goes off in some wild directions, but it has something about it that makes you love it all the more for that!

I would say that the 'plot' has its randome moments but the character and wonderful language more than make up for that, it really takes you to another world. Jenny Penny in particular, once read can never be forgotten. I LOVE the line near the beginning where Ellie first met her and it says she ''started to hop from one foot to the glorious other'' Smile

I will look out for Sarah Winman's next book with great enthusiam!

I've just started reading this one. Enjoying it so far. Will let you know what I think when I'm finished.

I have just finished this. For me it compares with Birdsong - one of those books you are just so pleased you have read. I agree that the story is sometimes random, but so is life - it's a stream of consciousness. A web spun through lives - just such a great book. Thank you Sarah.
