Title says it all, do I really need the 3G verson? Have Wifi at home. Is the web brower thingy any good, would I be able to check emails etc from home or should I get a basic kindle and a smart phone?
I keep going to order the basic one and having a wobble is the 3G worth the extra 40 plus? Does it work abroad for example?
Many thanks

Yes it is worth getting the extra. I dithered and glad I have mine - it gives me much more flexibility.

personally I would opt for an ipad if you want a web browser as well, although obviously £££

Don't know about it working abroad but the web browser is fine for things like email. Ok for mumsnetting too Grin. Deffo go for the 3G. DH bought mine and got the 3G (I would have been too tight). Tis handy. And DH says that you never know what other functionality they might introduce where the 3G comes in handy - whatever that might mean (luddite emoticon).

Thanks have gone for the 3G, like the idea of being ablt to check emails etc. Just waiting for it to arrive now. I did think about an ipad but lots more money and I will be mainly using it to read. Find reading from a netbook screen for example v tiring.
Thanks everyone
