Anyone else read this?

Thought it was excellent. Am looking forward to the others.

I read it i have it on my kindlle i really enjoyed te book but was a bit at the ending!

The next one is called The Twelve.

Am genuinely excited about reading this

My friend sent me the passage on kindle. i will get the next one I didn;t realise he was writing another one that may explain the ending lol

I read this last month, and loved it. Totally engrossing and cannot wait for the next one which is out next year if I remember rightly!

I totally loved it, also very excited about the next one.

when does it come out, anyone know ?

I know. Was really hoping it was going to be this year.

Ahh - was hoping it would be this year too! Can't wait for the new book.

I thought it was great, bought it for my teenage daughter,but she did not like it.Wish the next one was out bait sooner,

June 2012! That's ages. I really liked that book, it stayed with me for quite a while after I'd read it.

I read this over christmas. It was the first book I read on a Kindle . I loved it, it reminded me a lot of The Stand. Can't wait for the new book.

I'm going to buck the trend here... I just finished it and what a waste of my time. I did not like it at all and I had waited six months to get it at my libarary! Thank goodness I didn't buy it. Perhaps I had too high expectations. I thought The Road and I am Legend were far superior post apocalyptic novels; I felt that Cronin could have done so much with the story and the characters and it was just so painfully slow.

I thought it was similar to The Stand too. I could see it working better as a mini series/film ( I hear Ridley Scott has bought the rights... two alien prequels to get through first)

I posted recently about this on a what are you reading thread, but no-one else seemed to agree.

"I must be the only dissenting voice as far as the Passage is concerned - I thought it was a complete let down. I know it was compared to The Stand earlier in the thread and that was the problem for me, just found it far inferior to it but too similar to it to stand (ha ha) on its own merit. Lots of lazy plot devices and don't get me started on the convenient 'twists' that seemed to keep re occuring..(Ah, can't go into too much detail for fear of plot spoilers !)
Anyway, I'm on my own with that one, aren't I? "
