Hi
New to mumsnet - and my DS is in 20's now. But have teenage nephews; and a close pal who became an unexpected Dad in his late 50's while in a passing relationship and keeps asking Q's about parenting! So have been reading all the great posts on here. Nothing changes!! The best thing I was taught was active/constructive listening which covered everything. There used to be an book called Listen for a Change which was great. The author now publishes e-books. She has just writ Listening to Children. Link is www.mindbodyspiritcentre.org/listening-to-children-launch-offer if anyone interested. (site a bit hippy and have to paste link - but it downloaded well enough for me!)
