Just bought Jilly Cooper's 'JUMP' from eBay..

...but it's a few years since I read the others.

Should I discipline myself and, instead of 'jump'ing straight into the new one, re-read the old ones first?

Why on earth bother re-reading the others, particularly the vile Wicked?

JUMP straight in... from what I've heard it's heaving with characters from her older books anyway so you'll probably feel as if you've re-read them anyway :) Same type of setting, same sort of puns, so on... anyway will be interested to hear what you make of it.

A friend lent me this book and I am really struggling to get into it. Too many new characters all introduced at once I think. Had completely given up on it but friend has persuaded me that it does get better so will give it one last go this weekend.

All I'll say is that hopefully you got it really cheaply!

No don't re-read the old ones. They are much better than Jump and you'll end up being even more disappointed than you're going to be anyway...
