Has anyone else read this book.

I finished it in 1 sitting in an indulgent Sunday morning in bed.

It was fab and I really didn't see the ending coming at all ... although at the same point I don't think I was 100% happy with the answers it brought.

So anyone else read it and want to discuss?

Would totally reccomend :)

I read it a couple of years ago and loved it - but was dissapointed to lend it to a friend who didn't like it. Have you read Kate Morton? I think the books are a similar style

No haven't read any Kate Morton - will look out for her.

I am more a buy lots of books in a charity shop girl and hope they're my kind of thing Grin

I can't believe your friend didn't like it! Shock

Was that the one by Diane Setterfield?-if so I loved it! Very spooky.Has she written any more?.

I don't know of any more by her, but would love to read some if there were.

House at Riverton and the Secret Garden are the good Kate Morton books, not quite as fab as the 13th Tale but still in a similar vein.

There is nothing worse than lending a book to a friend and thinking they'll love it when they really don't! Makes me wonder if we even read the same book ...

Sounds quite interesting, what's it about? I haven't read any Kate Morton either although I think I've heard of the Secret Garden.

I loved The 13th Tale! It's one of those books where you keep saying to yourself, "One more chapter" and before you know it it's 2am. I tried a Kate Morton once but didn't finish it as I thought it was a bit boring!

I read it last year and loved it. Lent it to MIL (wonder what she's done with it). I have tried the Kate Morton books mentioned but couldn't get into either of them
