What cover for a kindle?

Just what the title says really, just in the process of ordering a kindle & trying to decide between an Amazon cover with built in light (in purple leather) or one from ebay again purple leather & with a clip on light.
Do you find the clip on light a hindrance & prefer a built in one, or do I just get a plain one & use one of the small book lights I already have which clips onto books?

I just got the one with a built in light in in Burgundy and its fab.
I cant stop smelling the leather!

I also have the one with the built in light and it's excellent. It's pricey but protects the kindle and has a light ready for when you need it.

Snap Thorntree - mine is burgundy with the light.

Would recommend the built-in light. My eyesight is not good and I can read very well in bed at night with the light on when himself is snoring.

DH treated me to the brown cover with the built in light and it's lovely.
It is expensive but it protects the Kindle (I was a bit worried about scratching it before) and the light is perfect for reading in bed without disturbing him

I got a cheap leather one from ebay as I couldn't justify spending 50 quid. Its surprisingly well made, and I am very pleased with it. The clip on light is fine for reading in bed, so I just leave it on my bedside table as I don't need it during the day. HTH.

Love my Kindle and have a lime green cover with built in light. Light a great feature and it's discreet so doesn't disturb sleeping DH!

I've bought the cheap purple cover with the light from Ebay and it's great, well worth the money, I couldn't justify the Amazon prices. I have found the light to be essential when watching crap kid's films at the local cinema, we're all happy.

I also have the burgundy light inclusive cover. It's my favourite thing. I love that I can have a charged light whenever I have a charged Kindle. Changing batteries on external lights has always done my head in, so this is a delight!!!!

Bumperlicioso · 27/03/2011 19:33

Alicia do you mean you got a cover and a light separately? Just got my kindle today for my birthday tomorrow (my mum bought it up today) and can't decide on a cover. Can't really justify the amazon one.

AliciaFlorrick · 27/03/2011 22:03

I bought the cover and the light from Ebay (they came together), I think it was around £10.00 but the light clips on and off the cover. So if I need it I just put it in my bag and then clip it to the Kindle cover, if I don't need it it's on my bedside table waiting for me.

It's absolutely perfect for my needs and I'm very happy with it.

Have a DuaGadget cover and a clip on light, half the price for teh amazon one, works a treat.
