I got a little preview/taster from Waterstones last week and devoured it in less than 5 mins and I want more... what will happen to Wolf has Ayla hurt him with her spear thrower??

Is Jondalar going to like it? Does she dump him?
What happens to evil silvery hair lady?
Will she somehow meet her son again?
Will she broker peace with the flatheads?
Will she find out who her parents were?

OOH I've got them all on my bookshelves. I didn't know there was a new one. Think I might have to put it on pre-order. I started reading these over 20 years ago.

OMG I am sooo excited. Might re-read the others first. I wonder what she will invent now she has invented horses and sex?

do not read if you dont want to know but it is a small sniplet and I wont reveal all

Jondalar Ayla and some of the people from the 9th cave are out walking when they come accross a load of cave lions and they are worried they will attack so they decide to try to attack them with the spear throwers. the attack starts and ayla goes to throw her spear thrower as Wolf jumps up towards the lion and both lion and Wolf falls down..

that was the end of the taster I was like

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I WANT TO KNOW MORE...

it started so fantastic and Icant wait to read more.. i was very mmm about Shelters of Stone but this was so good ok it is only a few pages but WOW I want more. If the pages of tasters are anything to go by we are talking writing like the early books turning pages eagerly wanting more more more..

I've read all of these including Shelters of Stone and kept waiting for Ayla to invent gunpowder and the internal combustion engine in between the sex.

Not going to bother. Can't think why I bothered to read them at all - oh yes, that would be because of the sex, me being young and inexperienced all those years ago.

I only just found out that there is actually a release date for this now - a while back I'd heard Jane Auel was stretching it out into two more books and I was starting to suspect that it'd never all be finished! Hopefully she had an outline sketch in a safe somewhere in case she met an untimely end - I just want the damn dream explained.

They are ridiculous in places, and Valley of Horses and Mammoth Hunters in particular rely on several characters being so obtuse and uncommunicative that I often felt like shouting at the page "Just talk to each other about how you feel, you eejits!", but they are addictive at the same time...

ok maybe not quite but still an awful lot of shagging

I can't wait. I remember reading the first book 'Clan of the Cave Bear' when I was just 14 years old, many years ago.

For any Kindle owners out there, here is a nice short caveman book which Clan of the Cave Bear fans will probably like...

The love element is weak but I enjoyed the story and Pell's development of new ideas. Like Ayla he just see's new ways to do things at a drop of a hat. Totally worth £2.15

Well, seeing as what glitterkitty describes is "asked" from the third book, I'll skip the fourth now.

This will be the 6th book & is now available to preorder on Amazon in either hard back or kindle editions I've ordered mine & it's due on the 29th March.

Oh, cannot wait! Fantastic. Thank you for the publication date. I am really excited. I absolutely love this series. I so hope she sees Durc again.

Good lord these books are still being written? I also read the first 3 round about age 14, some sections were (ahem) slightly more interesting to me than others.

Don't forget that she also worked out that men have a genetic share in offspring, rather than it just being the woman and the great spirit or something that makes a baby.

I had no idea these were still going. I too read them for teenage perving purposes. My DP has the same happy memories. We were made for each other.
