Has anyone read 'A tiny bit marvellous' yet?

I got it for Christmas and left it on the side of the bath when going to get DS2's towel....and he knocked it in!

I had read about 4 fifths of it and was wondering if it was worth me getting another copy?

I have just ordered Dear Fatty due to the fact the Mnetters were raving on about it and wanted to see if they felt the same having read this one.

Not read it but planning to order from the library.

i have, didn't really enjoy it. I kept hoping I would get in to it but it never happened. The underlining annoyed me and I found it all a bit stereotypical and obvious. Shame as I had high hopes for it...

There has been a thread about it on here and iirc people were a tiny bit underwhelmed by it.

I'd downloaded to my iPad to read and my mother gave me a signed copy for Christmas, still not impressed!

I received a copy for Xmas and I wasn't that impressed tbh, but I really did enjoy Dear Fatty.

I found the Oscar character very tiresome to read.

I read it and then DD1 (13) read it. We both enjoyed it, but I had to explain Oscar to her

Yes, I was feeling a little underwhelmed and I found Oscar very irritating. Would like to know what happened at the end though, so if anyone would like to tell me the end, I would be very grateful . And it would save me a couple of quid/trip to the library...

Can you dry your book out on a radiator? I have done this many a time and they go all curly and wrinkly but they are still readable.

Poshpaws, I've PM'ed you as I don't want to put spoilers here. I reckon you can probably dry it out though :)

I've got it for my mum & having a sneaky pre-read, its easy reading but not particularly great, IMO. Will probably be able to pick up a copy cheaply in charity shop in 6months or so, if you can wait!

Re drying it out, it was a hardback and DS2 assures me that it was not in the water for long (how reliable is a 5.5 yr old??). However, back and front covers were falling off and the pages were stuck together in big wedges .

Maybe not then!
