Oh God it's bliss.
Began it last night- aim to finish it today.
Just my sort of book.

I read it in a couple of sittings, too. First book I'd enjoyed in ages.

Have you read all the others too? One of my favourite series of books ever.

Haven't yet read this latest one (was holding out for Santa to deliver one!) but have high expectations.

I had completely forgotten about his books - read all the Tales of the Ciry ones - may have to find this one and have a read.

Thanks

i loved tales of the city - is this another new one catching up with the old characters?

Adjutantontheverge · 29/12/2010 16:58

Yes; there was Michael Tolliver Lives, published a few years ago, catching up with the old characters and introducing the new people in their lives. And now this book.
It was ages since I'd read the series but I really enjoyed the novels - it felt strangely comforting and familiar to meet the characters again.

I finished it the same evening-MaryANn comes back to MIchael (with a secret), someone from her past reappears, good old Anna still there....pure escapism.

Read it in one day. It was like having old friends to stay.

I also read it in a couple of sittings. I much preferred to to Michael Tolliver Lives because of the multiple story lines and third person narrative.
