I'm going in for surgery on Thursday, likely to be in for 5 days and it's going to get quite dull. Likely to be quite tired to so don't want anything too demanding (no period classics, etc). Have got, but not yet read, Saturday by Ian McEwan and Cloud Atlas by ?? which I thought I'd take, and am also taking Lance Armstrong's book about fighting cancer. Need some positive stuff that will make me feel good.
Any ideas?

i read harry potter and terry pratchett mostly when i was in after having kids. have just finished autobiography of a one year old by rohan candappa (nothing to do with hospital) and thought it was great.
