Freedom - worth persevering?

I'm about 2/3 of the way through 'Freedom' by Jonathan Franzen and starting to lose interest if I'm honest ... I thought 'The Corrections' was brilliant, but while there's been much to admire about this one so far, I have to confess that I really don't care that much how it all ends ...

so, is it worth persevering ... or is life too short?

I gave up (temporarily) when my 2 yr old pulled the page marker out and I lost the will to trawl through trying to find out where I'd got to (never works).

I am about a quarter of the way through and struggling.....loved the Corrections, but am finding it hard work.
Anyone finished it?
