Writing Contest

I scribble away at all odd hours of the day and night and have created several short stories that I've been wondering what to do with. Saw this contest at www.writerstoybox.com and decided to have a go. Panicking now though at the thought that some stranger is reading my words! Has anybody had any luck with writing competitions or am I just a dreamer??

Had a go at Nanowrimo last year and managed 7000 words out of the required 500000. I was quite pleased with that. I have sent off a short story to a magazine and got a really nice response (but not published). So yes you should go for it.

I put too many noughts there you need to write 50000 in a month.
